not sure but mine was clean all i had to do is clean the bag since a lot of bugs got on it. (The "Optical Audio" connection is a bit more complicated because after the cable is connected you have to go to your TVs menu and make sure "External Speakers" and "PCM Audio Format" is chosen before it will work. I like that the earpieces are large and provide good (ear) coverage. The trade off is that it is very lightweight, and since it goes behind the ear, the earbud should not fall out as in-ear headsets sometimes do. They came with all of the accessories with the plastic still on and in the original box. Ive been using this kit for a little while now. The handle is also made of thick plastic and can be pulled outward to crate morse space between it and the case for carrying. Way WAY better than the sound from the phone alone, that Im used to. Its brand new, not a refurbished item or used item. With other styles of headphone, you can take a break from wearing them and let them hang around your neck knowing you turned them off.
