Ive tried Sennheiser HD 206, Audio Technica Street, Sony XBs, they are no match for Studio 30s comfort and sound. The price is ridiculously high for this kind of part, no doubt owing at least partially to the use of a proprietary connector on the headphone end, but there are no third-party vendors of whom I am aware. Though thats pretty common knowledge about the m50s, so hardly a surprise.
