My guess is that the battery terminals corroded and did so very quickly. The toe band held my front foot. The soles on these shoes were not thick and the toe part started to fray almost immediately. Sat unused for 9 days and battery life was at 79%. When I ordered these flip flops I ordered two sizes bigger than my childrens feet and they fit perfectly. I will say that most of the ladies I work with were shocked at how flexible these shoes are and it feels like you?re walk-in on a sturdy cloud! This is a great little case, provides plenty of space for bluetooth earbuds and protects them very well. The sole is beige which makes a big difference as my last pair of ?other brand? slippers were leaving black residue on my beige carpet. The bottoms have part of the rubber rubbed off or maybe not all the way taken off? There are larger pieces of rubber that havent been cleaned up so we had to trim them. There are other sites but I think this one is the better one to use.
