I purchased these to replace the muffs that came with a new hard hat I just bought for working in the woods. Now what I dont like is that they have almost no bass at all and no real way to fix that, Im sure if you had a sound mixer in MacOS you could fix this but as they come I noticed a significant drop in bass compared to some of my other over-the-ear headphones of the past. Simply stunning sound quality The EV plus/minus dial on the top is a big bonus, and many menu items can be accessed instantly by pushing the function (Fn) button, which is conveniently located above the rear dial. In the upcoming weeks I will be at the beach and I intend to do a full volume test to see how much life I can get. When I first received them and started using these headphones they sounded quite tinny. It beats going to a doctors office to get the ear wax cleaned out! The Sony WF-1000XM3 are great sounding.
