I think people who buy the wrong size and try to put it to the tightest possible are having the issues because there has been no quality issues for months of 5 days a week wear for about 8 hours after the initial seasoning. The box has a real premium feel, and the earbuds are nicely packed inside, with the standard plastic protection you would expect from a premium product.
