You can see in my photos that there is plenty of squidgey padding. as far as durability, the clear pockets themselves seem like taking items in and out frequently may not hold up so well over time. I have a very high impact the job as far as my Footwear is concerned, 3 months in and they seem to be holding up fine despite the harsh environment and my over 300 lb body. As a swimmer walking around on deck with no shoes can get gross at big meets, these are the perfect slides for on deck. This is part of my permanent road kit from my Galaxy and I recommend you get one too. They would be terrible on a hot day. You may want to use better washers than what is provided. Very roomy in length. High, mid, and low frequencies are all there. I hope to get many more seasons out of these favorites!
