They did very well cancelling out noise and the cord does not tangle. (Note there are two sizes). He hated ear buds and my large headphones. Its really a vest and not a backpack: dont expect to pack much in the back if you use the water bladder, but you can store sunglassses, a shell and some cereal bars in the back pocket. I have tried Intel ax200 card(M2 Slot), TP Link, EDUP ax200 cards before this and none of them sat right in the slot and all seem to have the not so good antenna issue with not a very good signal grab.
