I mean sitting with iPad on table in front of you is a very short distance. Might not be so happy in a month or two when its colder. The interior of the slipper is cozy, and not constricting. UPDATE*** we havent had these very long, and they have not been worn all that much, one slipper has a rather large hole in one by the sole. The sound is great, and the battery life is really good, but I cant get them to stay in my ears. (Hi fellow Moms of Amazon!
