That helped for a while but the wind also lifted the front end of the carrier and made a howling sound. There are quite a few reasons for this 5 star review so Ill try to address all of them. Buying another as a gift. They are not as stretchy as my original pair. Look just like picture. They look great too. I read the reviews about the metal clips and was prepared with white duct tape to cover them and protect the paint on my white car. I ended up going with the Bose 700 which are very good but obviously more of an investment. I am not a professional installer of things but am pretty good at following instructions (when they exist) and tenacious enough to figure it out.
