I didnt sand the sole down (which I will do next time if I have more patience!) but I gave them a clean with some acetone. I used a flat fan style brush, and gave it a thin coat, let it dry, and repeated a few times. The difference is astounding! And for the price of this little jar, I dont have to worry about the soles being ruined any more!
