After a 3 hour hike, neither of us had any bug bites whatsoever. These buds actually sound better than the AirPods I recently purchased for $200. Do yourself a favor and purchase these new directly from Apple - So your warranty exists when they go bad. It was too late to return, so I ordered 3 more pairs in 9W this time, hoping it would fit. My son loves this watch. EDIT: Ive lowered my review from 3 to 2. They still provide 8 hrs of continuous listening to podcasts/music and watching videos. After wearing these for about three months I have decided to review. However, when I go to take the ear buds out of my ear, most times, the tip stays in my ear. Before putting this on the wall I wedged it just enough to stay closed but easy enough to access.
