Ive tried the trendy Beats phones, Ive tried Audio Technica, Ive tried Bang & Olufsen, and even Audeze, but for the price (and these arent exactly what Id call cheap), these MDR-1As stand up well to some of the competition while blowing others away. They are narrow but l have narrow feet so for me they are very comfortable. The sound quality is absolutely atrocious with all noises being super bassy and every sound sounding extremely monotone. It is deep enough to allow 2 spice jars front and back, which was the selling point for me as compared to other racks on the market that are narrower. These sandals are just as comfortable as they look and right from the start, no breaking them in. Im so disappointed. These are sturdy, well made, and the attached pin provides more security that they wont slip off the rack. A newer version of the 500s with the addition of surround sound, and the same good comfort and quality. I bought this for my OU course, as several people who had slight hearing problems were having difficulty understanding me in online rooms and tutorials when I was using the inbuilt laptop microphone. That really sucks and feels all kinds of sketchy.
